From October 21st to October 22nd, 2019, scientists from GBioS attended a workshop sponsored by The IGSS (Integrated genotyping service and support) at WACCI, University of Ghana. The workshop features lecture material on genomic selection and its practical applications in breeding programs led by Professor Clay Sneller from Ohio State and hands-on demonstrations of analyses in KD Compute, the analytical software package for DArT. The main goals are to provide instruction on collecting leaf samples for genotyping, tracking samples, and submitting them for genotyping, introduce the IGSS services and data output, present the theory and models for genomic selection and marker data imputation, show the use of GS applied breeding program and introduce the participants to the KD Compute data analysis system.
