Welcome

The vision of GBioS is to be by 2022 a leading Plant Genetic Resources and Horticultural Research Group of Excellence, recognized nationally, regionally and internationally for its quality, relevance and impact. Research within the GBioS mainly focuses on (i) unlocking the potential of neglected crops, (ii) improving agronomic practices of horticultural crops and (iii) improving access of tsmallholder’s farmers, women and youth to quality seeds. Regarding the education objectives, GBioS has experimental fields to showcase good agronomic practices and give hands-on experience to students and other people interested in getting skills on how to efficiently produce different crops.
