The certified training in molecular plant breeding is a one-month internship in the molecular breeding program, focusing on hands-on activities for product development. Upon completion, trainees will be able to design and execute breeding programs using molecular tools. We make sure that our trainees understand the stages and components of a molecular breeding program, the tools and techniques required, gain proficiency in selected techniques related to molecular breeding, and are able to design a product-oriented molecular breeding program. Modules cover courses such as overview of molecular breeding process including discussion of scoping, Genetic resource identification, Phenotyping Statistical analysis, Genotyping Genetic analysis, Multi-location testing and analysis, and Designing molecular breeding programs.
