INTRODUCTION
Moringa (oleifera lam) is a species of the Moringaceae family, native to India. Nowadays, it is
present in all tropical zones. The plant’s leaves are highly prized for their nutritional qualities
recommended for malnourished populations, pregnant women and nursing mothers.
In Benin, Moringa is produced mainly in rural areas, in the form of gardens, huts, fences and hedges.
Vive. In recent years, however, there has been a growing interest in its production, with
demand for moringa leaves and seeds. This document sets out simple, sustainable techniques for the intensive production of Moringa leaves on a small area.
